Warranty Coverage Period for Astra Battery
For most conventional maintenance-free Astra Battery models used in petrol passenger vehicles, the warranty is:
- 18 months or 25,000 km, whichever comes first.
The same batteries installed in commercial or diesel vehicles are covered by:
- 6 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.
Selected batteries designed for vehicles with Start-Stop technology (EFB) receive:
- 12 months or 30,000 km for non-commercial vehicles.
- 6 months or 30,000 km for commercial or diesel vehicles.
Meanwhile, Astra's premium AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries offer the longest warranty coverage:
- 20 months or 40,000 km for non-commercial vehicles.
- 12 months or 30,000 km for commercial or diesel vehicles.

What Does the Warranty Cover?
The Astra Battery warranty covers manufacturing defects that may affect battery performance under normal operating conditions during the applicable warranty period.
Should a battery be found defective after inspection by an authorised Astra Battery dealer, it may be repaired or replaced in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions.
The warranty does not cover batteries damaged due to improper installation, accidents, modifications, misuse, neglect, overcharging, deep discharge caused by leaving electrical accessories switched on, or normal wear and tear resulting from vehicle conditions or usage.
