Bezza Facelift: What Changed Last Time?

At the rear, the bumper was redesigned and extended for better aerodynamics, and new colors which were Garnet Red and Granite Grey.

No changes were made to the powertrain. The Bezza still comes with either the 1.0L three-cylinder VVT-i engine producing 67 hp, or the 1.3L VVT-i four-cylinder engine producing 94 hp. Bezza vs. Saga: Which Sells Better?
Since its launch in 2016, the Perodua Bezza has quickly become one of Malaysia’s favorite compact sedans. To date, a total of 643,736 Bezzas have been registered. For comparison, its closest rival, the Proton Saga, has recorded 989,784 registrations based on government data shared from 2008 onward.

Although the Proton Saga has a much longer history than the Bezza, a closer look at the numbers reveals that the Bezza’s average annual registrations are roughly 10,000 units higher than the Saga. Cementing its status as the hottest model, the Bezza is also the only car to surpass 100,000 registrations in a single year, achieving this milestone in 2025.
For perspective, the last model that came close to 100,000 annual registrations was the Proton Wira in 2002, with 98,211 units.
